Assorted Creations

Art Impressions is one of my favorite stamp companies for funny cards. Their current challenge requires you to make your own background. The background for this card is made by upcycling the cover of a paper stack. The little square preview images of the papers in the stack provide a “quilted look” background for the image (her name is Eunice). I finished the card with a wonderful quote from Beaver Cleaver’s dad.

I enjoy using subway art to make quick and striking cards. (I found this image at wordtoyourmother-mindi.blogspot.com/2011/07/thankful-thursday.html.) Printed it on my computer, added cardstock, vellum, acetate, plus a few star stickers to create this fun card.

CAS-ual Fridays current challenge is TicTacToe. Since I like butterflies, I selected the diagonal option:  butterfly, tag, texture (satin, rhinestones, paper flowers and textured wallpaper scraps) to make this tri-fold shutter card. You can find the tutorial here (http://qbeesquest.blogspot.com/p/tutorials.html. Also, since it has several layers, I entered into a challenge over at Deep Ocean.
