Tiddly Inks Challenge- Make it Rectangle!

This months challenge over at Tiddly Inks is to make a card that is rectangular in shape. Right now they also have an adorable coloring page available via the Tiddly Inks FaceBook page for FREE!

I reduced the size to four per 8.5x11 page to make this cute card. Layered it on yellow and then black cardstock and adhered to the front of a simple gatefold card. Stamped a little bluebird on blue cardstock. After adding a bit of color on beak and toes (is that what they are called, toes?!) I fussy cut the little guy. Perched atop a simple, layered, sentiment, I think he adds a perfect touch of whimsy to the card. And is "twin" on the inside of the card doubles the awwww factor!

So... go and nab a copy of this coloring sheet while it is still available. Create a card, bookmark, tag or any paper crafted item that is rectangular (the theme of this month’s challenge) and enter the challenge yourself. You know you want to! And I have a feeling you’ll love the results. (Illustrator Christy Croll even provides tutorials on the blog for coloring hair and eyes. They gave me the courage to try using new alcohol markers to color this little beauty’s curls. Easy Peasy!)

  1. Aren't these coloring book images the greatest!? So easy to make the perfect card front with them. This card is adorable. So glad you are sharing it with us this month at Tiddly Inks.
